A Contemporary Family Villa

Location

Sutherland Shire, Sydney

Size

250m2

Status

In Progress

The house is conceived as a long, linear undercroft that weaves a subtle connection between the front and rear gardens, seamlessly integrating interior and exterior spaces.

The home presents a composed and restrained elevation—its clean, rectangular forms recall the quiet dignity of a traditional two-storey villa, offering little hint of the spatial richness beyond.
Architecture Entry Porch

The porch is conceived as an enveloping deck, to draw visitors to the entry of the house. The timber-lined treatment provides an immediate sense of warmth and welcome.

Once inside, visitors are drawn through a series of open, light-filled volumes. Varying ceiling heights and carefully positioned openings allow natural light to animate the interiors throughout the day, while framing views either to the landscaped garden or towards the distant waters of Burraneer Bay.
